1 – Do not force Dyslexia children to read. Allowing the Dyslexia children or adults not to have to read as much or as often as the non-dyslexic, shows that you are sensitive to the difficulty. It can cause headaches to try to stop the letters from flipping. Though it may seem like a cop out or somehow not fair to ‘the rest of us’, is is a practical solution for problem solving and dealing the issue of Dyslexia.
No human being deserves the turmoil of illiteracy especially when it is not entirely their disposition or fault that they are in that situation.
Allowing the others to read rather than the Dyslexia children or adult allows greater compassion and communications between the peer group that is present. Maybe the Dyslexic reads but is only required to read the smallest amount or some variation that tries to acknowledge the truth that they are what and who they are, namely Dyslexic.
Additional acknowledgment of understanding Dyslexia children is the way in overcoming it. Don’t try to change the Dyslexia children. Understanding that Dyslexia no longer has to be that hidden thing that is treated like a disease is a societal victory.

Also consider that many dyslexics, both Dyslexia children and adult Dyslexics are kinetic learners. Understanding that learning from experiencing is a real process for some to be able to learn skillsets or habits. Verbal instruction may not be enough to achieve the desired outcome when dealing with a Dyslexic student or a Dyslexic Husband/Wife.
The Kinetic learning component understanding Dyslexia children is the reason why so many Dyslexics are memory based in their logic and the way that they follow instruction through repetition, rather then wrote or verbal direction.
Lastly, It is important that the wife or husband recognize that their dyslexic or Dysgraphic partner is actually trying to communicate with them normally but there is a process that will not make sense to the dyslexic unless they have a kinetic reality to it. This is not always the case, but too often a Dyslexic partner or parent will assume that the dyslexic is trying to annoy them by not listening to their oral instruction or communication but the truth is that they are listening but listen kinetically combined with verbal listening.
If the dyslexic can capture an image of their experience and combine that with the kinetic learning they can often solve the problem before the problem even needs a solution.
